Today a friend was chatting to me about her upcoming house move to another part of our lovely country. For this to happen she first needs to sell the house she currently owns. Having done the same things when we went through the big move from England to Australia 11 years ago I was able to pass on few tips to help her call in her perfect real estate agent and then buyer.
Firstly I let her know about a Feng Shui tip to call in the best person to help sell her house (given to me by my lovely friend over at Mel’s Energy House). Write what you need on a piece of paper, red paper holds extra power in the Feng Shui world, use words such as ‘Please send me the best person to help with my house sale’ and place in the ‘useful person’ area of your home as per the Bagua Map. The paper does not need to be visible for the world to see as we are working with energy flow here.
This worked amazingly for me when we wanted to have our whole house re-tiled and was having a hard time finding the right tile. One who could also lift the old tiles rather than go with some of the alternative options given to us by others who came to quote! I put the paper in its designated spot under our TV. A couple of days later hubby suggested looking in the local paper as previously we had contacted tradesmen whose cards were in the tile showrooms. I should also mention at this point we had chosen some tiles that were the same as friends of our as they were just what we were looking for. We had also seen them laid so knew what we would be getting. Hey presto, in the paper was a tiler whose email address was the same as our friends’ names, just in reverse – what an awesome sign. Needless to say we employed the tiler, got a great price and he did a great job.
So, back to house sales... Once we found our agent in England, the other way we called in our buyers (energetically) was to imagine a ‘sold’ sign on the board outside our house. To really cement this in we took the kids, then aged 3 and 9, to a house locally that was sold by the same agency so had the exact same sign and told them to imagine it outside our house, you can also take a picture of the sign. Every time we went out I would get the kids to picture the sold sign as we rounded the corner and saw our house. Guess what happened a few days later – yep the house got sold. Some people just happened to be driving by our place between two house viewings that were an hour drive in opposite directions from us and they had time to waste. They stopped as we had an open home that day and contacted the agent with a firm offer within an hour of leaving – the rest as they say is history.
