I guess most of us have of heard the term WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get). I am fairly sure this started out as a term with the growth of our computerised age and has now become quite engrained into our psyche.
For the purpose of manifestation we tend to use this in the form of vision boards, screensavers, photo’s on the fridge, ie things that we see.
Let us not forget that WYSIWYG is in fact the vehicle that our wishes can be carried in but as with all vehicles it needs fuel to make it move… so bring on WYFIWYG (what you feel is what you get)!
Don’t get me wrong I am not saying bin the vision board but bring some ‘feels’ into it. Take that picture of your dream car that is stuck to the door of your fridge, how would it feel to be sitting inside, driving with the top down and the wind in your hair or parking it in your own garage. Feel these ‘feels’ every time you open the fridge and see the photo. This is the fuel to help get those dreams switched into reality.
As with all things there is balance here and of course no size fits all!
Let me know in the comments how you manifest your dreams into reality.
Below is a short video of how I cleanse and welcome a new deck to my collection.
I would love to hear about your rituals in the comments.
I was offered a loan of the Animal Tarot Cards created by Radleigh Valentine recently.
Oddly I had always been put off by the image on the cover of the box – yes we are all different and in fact this very image is what drew my friend to them.
I had great fun ‘getting to know’ the cards and have indeed bought myself the deck and they are, as we speak, winging their way to me.
My friend was unsure how this particular deck related to traditional Tarot so I wrote her some info –as below:
Major Arcana are the Purple cards and are numbered 0 ~ 21
These cards represent our journey through life as we travel along from being young and naive to learning about our gifts, creating relationships, looking at life differently and getting through all the ups and downs till we reach the end of a cycle. We can be at different stages in the cycle at any time in different aspects of our life.
The four Minor Arcana Suits
Spring = Brown/Red cards, Fire = Wands
Passion, creation, manifestation
Eg, With Wands, we look at our lifestyle; our hopes and ambitions in the world. They are the magic wand that supports us in our journey in life, they show us our beliefs and intentions, that guide us in our behaviour.
Summer = Aqua cards, Water = Cups
Feelings, Emotion, love, relationships
Eg, The Suit of Cups are the dreamy, emotional aspects of our life, and all to do with relationships. These relationships can be related to ourselves, others and even work and home.
Autumn = Green cards, Earth = Pentacles/Coins/Discs
Earthly life, work, money, health, actions
Eg, The Pentacles suit is all about the material things in life, be it money, resources or your time. These cards show us all the different stages of financial issues.
Winter = Blue cards, Air = Swords
Thoughts/thinking, communication, Knowledge
Eg, The Swords are the Suit of the Mind, all our thoughts and plans. As a result, they show us our worries, our concerns, and matters of knowledge and education.
card from the Animal Tarot and my favourite traditional set by Robin Wood. The wording on the Animal Tarot card is…
“It’s time to release the past and move on to something new. This ending is the first step on the way to a happier future.”
My traditional Death card shows symbols of a white rose and a butterfly – both also shown on the Animal Tarot card. The Grim Reaper is standing on a path pointing out a new direction to travel as the old way no longer is the best option.
So you see how they relate directly to each other? Let me know if you have questions about this or any other deck you have.
Oh my goodness I have just been listening to a meditation with Kylie Gray from a few years ago and got such a moment of clarity.
The meditation took us on a journey and we were to connect with our Guides. In the meditation he said to start building a picture of what your Guardian Angel looked like!
This has made me realise that my own Guardian Angel, who has been with me for many years, who has always been hidden behind a dark cloak, is the vision I created whilst waiting for HER to show herself to ME. I have never seen her face or her body in any way. This has always been my image but one I wanted to go beyond. I wanted to see her in all her magnificence but felt this hadn’t happened because, for some reason, she wanted to remain hidden. I have always held the belief (my own or from others I don’t know) that I should receive the picture, not create it. But we are all ONE so whatever I create is indeed my own reality, and in that case why not go ahead and create - yep, epiphany right there.
Angels and spirits are non-physical beings, so therefore, to use our own imagination and create them into what we would like them to look like makes perfect sense to me. So next time you are on a journey looking to find your Guardian Angels/Spirit Team, create your own vision in your mind and let Spirit step into that vision if it feels right to you to do so. Create without human limitations... this is YOUR team. Having a clear image makes it much easier to connect and communicate with Spirit, well it does for me at least.
We are so often held back by the beliefs around us. Maybe it is time to start stepping into our wholeness in our own way and not that determined by other people and what their visions happen to be.
I hope you enjoy playing around with this concept.
Don’t you just love all those belief systems that we so easily buy into from others around us. Particularly those people we see as authority figures.
I had been having a lot of issues with my knees and then after a particularly big fall at Taekwondo they became much worse. I had managed to tear the meniscus in one knee and had badly bruised the inside of both kneecaps and could barely walk. There had already been some issues but I knew this was a big message for me personally. Taking some time out due to the injury gave me time to reflect and I managed, with the support of my closest woo-woo friends, to get to the bottom of why I did not want to be able to move physically and emotionally at that time… so healing began.
Prior to this I had headed off to see the doctor regarding the pain I was experiencing in my right knee. Guess what I got told….. Yes, it’s arthritis – at your age you have to expect these things! Excuse me!! I have pain in one knee and not the other and oddly enough they are exactly the same age.
Fast forward back to the injury. I had MRI’s on both knees and ended up having arthroscopy surgery on both knees. The specialist was very pleased to tell me from seeing the MRI images and indeed seeing directly inside my knees with a camera that there was not really any arthritis in there (which, he said, was great given my age lol).
How easy would it have been for me to buy into the doctor’s diagnosis and in turn probably make my knees worse with negative thought patterns!
I am so glad I can see things from different perspectives. It never hurts to look at things from a different angle and get second, third or more opinion and I would always recommend checking in with your GP if you feel you should, but at the end of the day always fully trust yourself and your gut instinct.
